He previously worked as a Fox News Channel commentator, and was an attorney for the Bush family firm, Harkness & Ingalls. Snow was named Press Secretary in 2003, succeeding Scott McClellan, who was fired after admitting to an extramarital affair with a White House staffer. Tony Snow then resigned on December 15, 2008 after serving only 77 days of his five-year appointment.
